Keegan Manson-Curry is a research assistant for the Arts and Culture team.
He holds a Certificate in Jazz Performance, a Bachelor of Arts(Honours) in Comparative Cultural Studies, and an MA in Ethnomusicology from the University of Toronto, where he is currently completing his Doctorate in Ethnomusicology. His research focuses on various themes relating to music, sound, and environment along the Saint John River in his home province of New Brunswick, Canada. These include sonic knowledge and experiences shared between cultures, the role of traditional musics in contemporary meaning-making, and the relationship between environmental stewardship and musical life.
